Standard machines

Our MAS2-S biosimulator can be used for the following:

  • Static and low-cycle fatigue testing;
  • Material testing, including composite and carbon materials;
  • Sensor calibration (coming soon).

Its main applications are in the medical industry, particularly in prosthetics and implantology, as well as in material analysis and testing

Test bench for implants and prostheses

Since 2017, we have been working on an innovative project with the support of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Bologna. Following an in-depth market analysis, we discovered that no test bench existed that could be used to test medical implants and prostheses. For this reason, we decided to design and build a sophisticated machine that would meet this need: MAS 2-S is MIB's multi-axial simulator.

MAS 2-S is designed to test:

  • Spinal systems, such as cages and other types of implants;
  • Hip and knee prostheses;
  • Osteosynthesis systems.

An innovative and sophisticated test bench

Unlike other existing simulators, which are multifunctional and therefore unsuitable for these tests due to their redundant architecture consisting of more than three axes, MAS 2-S has been specifically designed to test medical implants and prostheses. MAS 2-S is equipped with two axes for testing axial load and torsion. Moreover, we will soon be launching a three-axis simulator capable of testing flexion as well.

The best quality at the best price

This top-of-the-range simulator is priced lower than any other testing system on the market.

The countless advantages of electric actuation

MAS 2-S is equipped with electric rather than hydraulic actuators. The latter offer several significant advantages. Firstly, they enable more precise measurements and require less mechanical maintenance. Secondly, this technology eliminates fluid leaks. This results in a cleaner production department. Furthermore, MAS 2-S does not require a cooling system, unlike other available simulators. Consequently, it is smaller and easier to install.

A wide viewing angle

Finally, MAS 2-S has a viewing angle of 180°, which is much wider than that of any other simulator. This allows the sample to be examined from any side.
